Crypto Token Listing Requirements: Coinatio, CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, DEX Trackers, and Exchanges
A token can appear in a DEX tracker, receive a directory profile, become tracked by an aggregator, and be admitted to a centralized exchange through entirely different processes. Calling every appearance a listing hides differences in review, data quality, custody, and trading access. This guide compares the published requirements of Coinatio, CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko and GeckoTerminal, Coinbase, and Kraken as of July 25, 2026. Coinatio publishes this article. Its commercial relationships do not affect organic rankings.

- Automatic DEX indexing records observable markets; it is not project verification or exchange admission.
- Aggregator states such as unverified, preview, and tracked describe different levels of review and market-data coverage.
- Coinatio requires a live market and usable identity information for profile review, but a listing is not verification.
- CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko ask for accurate, independently checkable project and market evidence.
- Coinbase and Kraken apply separate legal, compliance, security, engineering, and business reviews before CEX support.
- No Coinatio profile, DEX page, or aggregator page guarantees approval by any other platform.
Start with the four distinct listing layers
Automatic DEX indexing begins with public blockchain activity. A supported indexer can create an address-based market page without a project application. A submitted profile adds identity information after a service checks its relationship to the contract and market. An aggregator may classify an asset as unverified, preview or untracked, or tracked. A centralized exchange must decide whether it can legally offer, securely custody, technically integrate, and operate a market for the asset.
These layers are neither a sequence nor a ladder of endorsements. A token may be visible on GeckoTerminal or CoinMarketCap DEXScan while absent from an aggregator's main tracked dataset. It may have a complete Coinatio profile but no CEX market. Record the exact chain, contract or mint address, pool, platform, and displayed status instead of saying only that a token is listed.
Prepare one evidence packet before submitting
Create a canonical record containing the network, contract address, deployment transaction, verified source when available, official website, explorer, social accounts, logo, live market URLs, and an official project contact. Include supply and vesting documentation when an aggregator requests market-cap data. Names, symbols, addresses, and links should agree across official properties.
Describe utility, administration, upgradeability, minting, freezing, transfer restrictions, and distribution factually. Provide reproducible evidence. Never invent volume, holders, partnerships, or legal opinions. Use only the platform's official channel and preserve a dated copy of every answer.
- Identify every asset by network plus contract or mint address.
- Link directly to live pools and supported market pairs.
- Explain supply and privileged controls with reproducible sources.
- Keep identity and contact details consistent across official properties.
Coinatio profile review requirements
Coinatio asks for the network and contract address, token name and ticker, a short description, a square PNG or WebP logo, official website and social links, and a DEX pair or liquidity-pool link. The token must have a live market that can produce a useful public profile. Coinatio checks network, address, identity, and market coherence, while its methodology determines pair selection and organic ordering from available market data.
Acceptance creates a discovery profile, not an audit, verification, endorsement, ranking promise, or investment recommendation. Advertising does not alter organic ordering. A Coinatio listing has no role in any third party's decision. Projects should never send private keys, seed phrases, wallet access, or funds.
CoinMarketCap states and requirements
CoinMarketCap distinguishes automated DEXScan pages from manually reviewed verified pages. Its criteria describe an unverified listing as an automatically created DEX pair page based on on-chain data. A verified page means CMC believes, on a best-efforts basis, that information came from the rightful source; it does not guarantee project quality. Verified assets can still be preview or untracked when market-data guidelines are not met, or tracked when market data is included and the page can receive a CMC rank.
For tracked consideration, CMC publishes guidelines including a functional website and explorer, active trading on at least one CMC-tracked exchange with material volume, and an available representative. It evaluates evidence, traction, liquidity, team, and product holistically. Meeting guidelines does not guarantee acceptance. False data, manipulation, bribery, or spam can lead to rejection or removal.
CoinGecko and GeckoTerminal are separate surfaces
GeckoTerminal is CoinGecko's on-chain DEX product. It indexes supported networks and DEX pools from blockchain activity and exposes pool data through its API. A GeckoTerminal page therefore shows that a market was detected; it is not the same as a reviewed CoinGecko coin page. Metadata can be incomplete, duplicated, or supplied from external sources, so confirm the contract and pool independently.
CoinGecko asks candidates for a functional project-owned website, a working explorer, and trading on an active integrated exchange. It also asks for clear circulating-supply information when market capitalization is expected. CoinGecko says listing consideration is free, criteria do not guarantee listing, and paid offers from supposed intermediaries should not be trusted.
Centralized exchange admission adds operational risk
Coinbase describes business prioritization followed by security, compliance, and legal due diligence. It considers demand, traction, liquidity, distribution, custody risk, privileged roles, code verifiability, and supported token types. Passing review still requires an operational rollout under venue and jurisdictional constraints.
Kraken directs issuers to one official application per token and describes evaluation of the asset, team, technicals, fundamentals, community, and governance, followed by legal, compliance, and engineering work. Its listings page states that review is merit based and that roadmap inclusion is not a listing guarantee. Neither venue's admission decision can be inferred from a DEX market, Coinatio profile, or aggregator status.
Use a status matrix instead of one listing badge
Maintain a row for each platform with columns for observed URL, state, evidence date, submitted identity, market-data coverage, review scope, and next authorized action. Mark DEX pages as automatically indexed unless the platform explicitly says otherwise. Record CMC as unverified, preview or untracked, or tracked according to the page. Record a CoinGecko main-site page separately from GeckoTerminal. Record CEX states as submitted, under review, announced, deposits enabled, or trading enabled only when the exchange itself confirms them.
Recheck official criteria because forms, terminology, networks, and methodology change. Never advertise a pending application as approval. Accurate, reproducible evidence improves reviewability but creates no entitlement to publication, ranking, custody, or trading support.
Request a Coinatio token profile review
Submit a live token market and complete identity details for review. Submission does not guarantee publication, ranking, promotion, verification, or endorsement, and it does not help secure approval on any other platform.
Coinatio publishes this guide. Listing review and commercial promotion are separate, and commercial relationships do not affect organic rankings.
