Data methodology

Coinatio Data Methodology

Learn how Coinatio discovers token markets, selects pairs, refreshes metrics, orders collections, and communicates data limitations.

Discovery and identity

Coinatio ingests public token profile and decentralized-market data. A token is identified by its network and complete contract or mint address, not by its name or ticker. The same ticker can represent unrelated assets.

Pair selection

When several markets are available, Coinatio displays the available pair with the greatest reported USD liquidity. This is a presentation rule, not a claim that the pair is official, safe, or executable at the displayed price.

Metrics and refreshes

Price, liquidity, volume, market capitalization, price change, and transaction counts are source-reported snapshots. The ingestion job refreshes available market data every five minutes. Providers can differ in calculation methods, coverage, and update timing.

Collection ordering

New launches are ordered by pair creation time. Trending tokens use reported 24-hour volume. Liquidity collections use reported USD liquidity, and gainers use positive 24-hour price change. Rankings can change after every refresh.

Publication and archiving

Listings require enough identity and market information to render a useful record. Tokens that become stale can be archived and removed from discovery collections. Historical availability does not imply current liquidity or continued project activity.

Verification and limitations

Coinatio is not an auditor and does not verify ownership, contract safety, holder distribution, liquidity locks, or project claims by default. Researchers should confirm the complete address on an independent explorer and review primary chain state before acting.
