About Sieve

Sieve is a real elementary cellular automaton that lives inside a smart contract on Robinhood Chain. There is a token, and it pays for the sift. The lattice under it evolves before anyone owns any of it. That is the whole difference, and it is a difference of order and substance rather than category: 256 cells, one dimension, a rule fully specified by eight bits, and a neighborhood of exactly three cells because the local is all the rule is permitted to see. Every generation is derived the same way, from the first row to the millionth: each cell's next state depends on nothing but itself and its two neighbors, looked up against one of the 256 possible 8-bit rules. There is no scheduler and no seed beyond the first row you choose. An entropy classifier then measures what came out; Shannon entropy against the theoretical maximum, a periodicity check against the last N generations, a Wolfram class assigned by behavior rather than by rule number, and most of the 256 rules turn out to compute almost nothing at all: uniform, or a fixed loop, discovered only by running every one of them and watching what came back.
