SOLMSG — end-to-end encrypted messaging, built entirely on Solana. Connect your wallet and start messaging any other wallet address directly. No sign-up, no account, no database, no central server storing your conversations — every message lives on-chain, and only the person you sent it to can ever read it. Here's how it actually works: when you connect, your wallet signs a message that deterministically derives a private encryption key — one that only you can ever recreate, and one that never leaves your device. Your message gets encrypted with that key and the recipient's public key before it ever touches the blockchain. What actually gets written on-chain is ciphertext — random, unreadable bytes. Anyone can look up the transaction on Solscan. Nobody but the sender and recipient can decrypt what it says. Text and images both work the same way. Solana just activated v1 transactions on mainnet, giving apps significantly more room per transaction — SOLMSG uses that space for longer messages and small encrypted images, sent the exact same E2E-encrypted way as text. No third-party image hosting, no off-chain storage — everything stays on Solana. There's nothing to install beyond a wallet, nothing to remember beyond your seed phrase, and nothing running on a server that could be subpoenaed, hacked, or shut down. Your wallet is your identity. Your key is your key. The chain is just where the (unreadable) bytes happen to live. Private conversations. Public chain. Nothing in between reading over your shoulder.
