Created by Mine Yoshizaki in 1998, *Keroro Gunsō* began with a ridiculous idea: An alien frog arrives from Planet Keron with one mission — invade Earth. Instead, Keroro discovers humans, anime, snacks, video games and his greatest weakness of all: Gundam model kits. The invasion never really goes according to plan. And that became the entire magic. The manga became a phenomenon. The anime ran for hundreds of episodes. Keroro reached cinemas through multiple theatrical movies. Games, toys, collaborations and merchandise followed. For more than 25 years, the little green invader has survived generations of internet culture. And there is something strangely perfect about that. The internet has always loved frogs. Pepe became the frog of internet memes. Keroro was already the frog of Japanese anime culture. One was born on the internet. One invaded it from another planet. Now Keroro has another mission.
